SERVICE TO OTHERS IS THE BEST WORK OF LIFE

DUCKY DERBY

TICKET SALES

We need volunteers for this Saturday, April 13, 10-12am, at the King Soopers near the Outlets.

Steve Honored
Our very own Steve Baroch was honored yesterday at the Rotary Club of Cherry Creek Valley's awards luncheon held at the PACE center in Parker.  Steve received the Light and Heart Achievement Award for International Service for his efforts to help others globally.  Our club members Lin, Denise, Vickie, Sheri, Shannon, and John V were there to support and congratulate him.

               District Conference
April 27
The District Conference is a one day event this year and is being held at the Arvada Event Center.
Registration is online at:  Rotary5450.org.  The District Conference is the end-of-year event where our clubs get together and celebrate our achievements.
We will have a display in the Hall of Service highlighting Steve's efforts with the Navajos.
If nothing else, you can get the feeling of just how much larger Rotary is than just what our club does.
Our club allows $50 per member per year to attend any Rotary function.  Scott, John and Joyce are attending and would love to car pool.

Social
This month's social is at Beau Thai 2,  1341 New Beal Street.  [Just north of Lowes]. As usual the club will pay for appetizers, members pay for drinks [and meals if desired].  Hopefully our faculty advisor for our new Interact club , Josh Thrall, will be there.
