SERVICE TO OTHERS IS THE BEST WORK OF LIFE
      PEACH SALES
A great big "THANK YOU" to Liz for all her work putting together our annual peach sales.  Final numbers are not in yet but this is always a nice boost for our foundation.  Thanks also to everyone who helped load peaches into customers' cars.

ANNUAL CLUB TRAINING
Saturday, September 21, will be the annual club training put on by our District.  It will be held at Front Range Community College, 8AM to 12:30.  There will be 45 minute breakout sessions with a wide assortment of topics.  Registration is online at the District website: Rotary5450.org.  Fee is $25.  This is always a very educational event with something for everyone.  Special emphasis this year is on training for secretaries and treasurers.  Our club allows $50 per member annually for Rotary training and conferences.

MEMBERSHIP WOES
Our membership is dwindling to alarming levels.  John had no new ads last year and lost four.  That puts us at 18 current active members.  Liz is leaving in November [transfer to Kansas] and Joyce and John are leaving in April [moving to Arvada to be closer to family].  While these are not critical numbers, it's awfully close.  Sheri is membership chair this year, but she can't do it alone.  In a small club, everyone is on the membership committee.
Every time we have a visitor we need to be very welcoming, and please save heated discussions for when visitors are not present.  If Vickie says, 'We'll discuss this at a later time', please follow her lead.
Rotary is the greatest volunteer organization in the world.  Let's share it.
