CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT

SAVE THE DATE

JANUARY 27, 2019

Lin explains to us the quality of the corn hole boards that will be available to $1000 sponsors.  They will be custom printed [not the Re/Max shown] and are extremely durable with a carrying handle and lights.
However, we need sponsors to be able to turn a profit and raise money for our projects.  Registrations will only cover expenses.  Think what you can do help.
We are a small club, so we need everyone to help in one way or another.
"HomeBuilder's Foundation" is going to be a designated beneficiary for this event.  We had a very informative and interesting presentation from what looks to be a great organization.  Looking forward to helping them out.

Service Dogs Recognized
Denise Frazier[left] presents a $2700 check to Michelle Ostender, executive director of Denver Service Dogs, one of two designated beneficiaries of our Ducky Derby fundraising this past spring.  It takes a year and $30,000 to train a dog for service to a handicapped person.  They train 25-30 dogs every year.

Denver Indian Center
Rick Waters, Executive Director of the Denver Indian Center, Kiowa/Cherokee, gave a very interesting program on the history of native Americans in our area.  He then described the mission of the Denver Indian Center as serving the needs of Indians in our local communities.

Ducky Derby
Not already!  Well, yes and no.  Turns out that the Castle Pines club will not be participating in Ducky Derby this year.  And although they have never chaired the event, it would have been their turn.  So, it falls to our club to chair again.  Any takers?  Please know that chairing does not mean doing all the work.  There are lots and lots of helpers.
