                WOW!

Steve Baroch has informed us that according to our Maasai friend, Chief Joseph, he has received the wired funds that Fabio initiated.  This is the last phase of building a well for our Maasai friends. We used our Club Bank Account as a reception and transfer point for funds and raised more than $24,000 in the past 3 years from across the country to build their well.  We're looking forward to some pictures.

    CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT

SAVE THE DATE

JANUARY 27, 2019

Lin is putting a lot of work into arranging all the details for this event.  This could be a big fund raiser for our foundation in addition to raising awareness of Rotary in Castle Rock.  This is the first year for us to be running  something like this, but we do know that we are going to need help from every member in one way or another.
"HomeBuilder's Foundation" is going to be a designated beneficiary for this event.  We had a very informative and interesting presentation from what looks to be a great organization.  Looking forward to helping them out.

DR. TUCKER TO VISIT
Our new Superintendent of Douglas County Schools, Dr. Tucker, will be visiting with our club at our meeting on October 25. Please join me in giving Dr. Tucker a warm welcome.

THANK YOU RICHARD
Richard Pinckney has volunteered to help with our Facebook and Web site.  This is something Steve has been looking for for some time.  Looking forward to his involvement.   If you have any suggestions or things you would like to see in our social media, please let Richard know.
CONGRATULATIONS STEVE
At our last meeting, Steve Baroch was awarded the "Hometown Hero Award" from Modern Woodmen.  Steve is shown here receiving this award from Susan Trost.  Steve is active in local and district Rotary, Navajo projects, international development projects, and is actually kind of a really nice guy.
